I’ve only used it twice, but it seems to do a decent job. My 80lb Goldendoodle has a passion for chasing Frisbees, but is not heat tolerant at all, so before what would happen is I would take her out the throw the Frisbee and after 5 minutes, she would be laying down panting hard. Now with the cooling vest, she seems to have longer endurance before she has to lay down and catch her breath.The fit is just perfect using the extension zipper. the other one is too tight, but we’ve got a good fit with thr XL

This thing works greater than u thought it would. I have a beagle and he just turned one so this is going to be his first summer. Needless to say, I found out that he gets overheated quite easily.I would only take short walks because I felt bad. He would stop anywhere there was shade and lay down for a little bit. So I searched and came across this vest.I wish it were a little easier to wring the water out, but whatever. Once that’s done, my dog is good to go.I really like that it has a little built-in harness making it easy to attach the leash. It also has two different ways to zipper it which make it very convenient if the dog is a little chubby lolI have a one-year-old beagle and I bought a large. And my dog is a tiny bit chubby also lol. Fits like a charm!

Seems like this is going to be great for my boxer girl. Her measurements put her at an XL but I ordered a Large, which was the perfect choice. I can’t believe how happy she is wearing it, as when I put a hoodie on her in the winter she lays on her back and tries to rip it off her body in a massive child like tantrum. This didn’t bug her at all. Boxers have those large chests so I was worried but it’s great. Smoosh nose dogs are at a pretty high risk for heat stroke so this will help me feel confident and not leave her at home when we go for hikes. My boxer is about 60-65 pounds

It’s works great, my little Maltease get hot very easy, when I saw this cooling vest had to try it on her, we have some very hot days on Florida even for the winter months that we spend here, so she wear it a lot and I can see big difference in her. She is more calm and doesn’t seem to be so desperate trying to cool down. I think all dos that overheat so easy should have one cooling vest, as responsable owners that we care for our pets we all should be looking for way to help out unconditional friends, I know this item is a bit on the expensive side but is other options out there.

Great product for those who live where there’s a hot climate. I live in Arizona and my golden gets extremely hot so he gets walks in the evening. With this on he’s started panting less after walks. Very easy to wash (my dog has rolled in mud wearing this, I’ve washed it several times since purchasing and still in very good shape). If you’re on the fence, get it! It’s worth the price!

My dogs stay very cool in these vests! It was 90 and sunny the day these photos were taken. After a couple hours I got them wet again but they’re very easy to put on and take off. Definitely allows us to take them boating with us. We just let the dogs in the water when they’re dry to rewet them. Definitely recommend!

I have only used this vest once and already I can tell a difference. My 10 year old Shih Tzu gets tired and easily overheats in the summer. In the video we are 3/4 done with our walk, at which time he is usually panting with his tongue out and slowly walking. Sometimes I have to carry him. But you can see he is happily trotting along. He was panting but not with his tongue out so he was definitely cooler. I checked his fur underneath and it was like he was in the shade. I didn’t make it sopping wet since our walks are only about a half hour and it was still working when we got home. I ordered true to size and it fit him perfectly. I love that it has a metal leash clasp so I don’t need a separate harness.

This cooling vest works fantastic! We live in South Florida and my doggy goes everywhere with me, even work. And he can overheat very easily. This absolutely keeps him much cooler. And I felt underneath the jacket and it was like an a/c unit was on! The vet took his temperature with the jacket on but it was almost dried out (2-3 hours to dry) and he was 2 degrees cooler than most dogs. Very pleased. Thanks!!

The COVID 19 crisis has impacted the sport of dog agility. Due to distancing requirements, not all dogs entered can be housed in the crating area. The only alternative is outside in your vehicle. But on hot summer days, the interior of a car can get sweltering. Even with windows open, and fans blowing, and aluminized tarp on the outside of the vehicle, it still can be uncomfortable. My dog is my companion, my friend, my child. I want to protect her and keep her comfortable. So I bought this. It is well made and substantial. I dipped it in water and wrung it out as directed and put it on her. She was actually right between sizes so I bought the bigger size. It is a bit big for her but still works fine. Easy to put on. You slip her front legs in and then it zips down the back. A nice feature is that there are actually two zippers to make it a little smaller or bigger. I probably could have bought her the smaller size but this works fine. She stopped panting in the warm car and when I put my hand on her back under the coat, her fur was nice and cool.

The vest is well made and works well. I like that the leash clip straps actually go through the vest and around the chest, plus the spot where they come out of the vest has a harder material to prevent leash pressure from tearing the vest. Also had good adjustability for different dog body types. It is also reflective. This is the XL size on a 80lb GSD We tested this out before reviewing, her temp under the vest was a lot cooler than the parts of her not coved by the vest. You do have to get this vest wet/ damp for it to work properly.

I’ve got a husky/sheppie mix and its hard for her to stay cool with the temps climbing into the 90’s. What a difference! She’s been running around the yard nonstop and isn’t panting like crazy. This is a must have for double coated dogs.
